The Nigeria Muslim Forum UK (NMFUK) is dedicated to transforming the healthcare landscape within local communities in Nigeria. Our Health Scheme is a testament to this commitment, where we focus on raising awareness and improving healthcare for those in need. Through the active involvement of our members, we have organized and supported numerous activities aiming to better healthcare standards.
Our strategy includes direct engagement with local communities in Nigeria, addressing both acute and chronic health issues through health outreach projects. The involvement of local stakeholders has been pivotal in these endeavors, aiding in changing attitudes, advocating health promotional programs, and enabling educational and training opportunities for healthcare staff. This approach has sparked a growing demand for more community-driven health initiatives.
Recognizing the power of collaboration, we have formed partnerships with charities in the UK and Nigeria with similar health-improvement goals. These partnerships have been instrumental in raising awareness about Nigeria's healthcare challenges and mobilizing resources to address them.
Our efforts have also extended to collecting new and fairly used hospital equipment. These have been donated to selected healthcare centers in Nigeria to enhance the quality of care. The first donation took place in 2014, marking a significant milestone in our journey of healthcare support.
Regular fundraising dinners are a key part of our strategy. The latest event in Leeds raised £1,330, which will be used to procure drug packs for our upcoming health outreach projects. We invite sponsors to support this cause, with each drug pack costing £450.
May Allah accept from us all, ameen.
